Hmm, doesn't smell right to me. I think this is a way for her to save face. They (the powers that be) have decided she's not up to the sequel[s]but are allowing her to be cut loose with "honor" by saying that the timing doesn't work for her. Riiiigght. If they were asking her to direct, she would be rescheduling whatever is "conflicting" is my guess. I don't really care, though. Throw some more money at the rest of the movies and they'll be better. I really like Twilight the movie anyway because I just love the story. Much of it was just right, but more financial backing might make the next ones great!
